Although the weather served as a slight inconvenience, I managed to find the perfect and discrete hiding spot for this beautiful model, Kyler Okamura. Changing the ISO settings to 600 in order to capture the silhouette and shutter speed of F25, I was able to emerge from this secluded spot with a masterpiece. The dark contrast of the mysterious figure makes a perfect divergence with the bright and sunny day.
After pioneering deep into the depths of the mysterious ocean, I came out alive with these photos as evidence of my adventure. The dim lighting within the aquarium allowed for clear and precise photos against the lighting within the tank. Because of this, I did not have to do much editing, facilitating my job as an aspiring photographer. Although I did not have my high tech cameras with me, the Apple Iphone camera quality always seems to save the day.
As I progress through all of the techniques taught in this class, I will prepare myself for the upcoming reflection project. Striving to differ from the typical mundane reflection photos taken in the mirror, I plan to stroll around the school buildings in hopes of finding a unique and interesting spot to create the perfect reflection.
Time: 20-35 minutes ( you can't rush perfection) After we recruited our newest accomplice, Cheyenne the Shredder, our gang ventured through the dark and craggy mountains and made it through the other side to the lush and beautiful valley of wonders populated by lusty maidens. We were all so delighted to come to such a paradise that we didn't see its true insidious nature. The populace of sensual women turned out to be succubi, demons who wanted to overtake our crew and keep them in the valley...forever. They managed to seduce half of our party members, and this picture taken of Kyler the Kreator was when he began to fall to their charm. Behind his eyes holds a feeling of intensity and urgency to save him from the vicious fiends that go by the name of the succubi; this image while seemingly a humorously silly portrait proves to be more--in this case, a life or death situation. Fortunately, I was able to focus on the mission and slay the demons, freeing my teammates and allowing us to pass through the luscious valley unharmed. Thankfully, this venture was not without gain, as we have looted a map off of the succubi that leads us straight to our next destination: a large city under control of one who goes by Melanie the Merchant.
As for camera settings, the ISO was 800 and the shutter speed was F22 for the slightly cloudy day. After uploading this captivating photo on to the computer, I fiddled with the contrast and exposure to reach this glowing lighting that you see before you. My miraculously long arm always comes in handy for photos like these. Don't let the illusion fool you, while it seems as if a trusted companion captured this lighthearted moment, I managed to acquire this picture all on my own. After finally defeating the Sky Lord with my comrades Ralph the Ravager and Kyler the Kreator and our new fellow accomplice, the village's most fearful warrior, Cheyenne the Shredder, we decided to bask in the glory of our fresh victory. This photo represents the genuine ecstasy of me and my allies when celebrating our win; the background being the bountiful land that we saved from the Orcs, adds to the sentimental feeling of the photo, ultimately depicting a sense of euphoria for the viewer. Taken during a bright and sunny day, I altered the settings to use ISO 800 and a constant shutter speed to obtain a good exposure.
When I exit this classroom to practice taking portraits on the camera, I plan to find a shady and discrete area for portrait taking purposes. Once I find the perfect hideout I will then alter my camera’s settings to manipulate light in my favor. With the help of Ralph Levardo featuring Kyler Okamura and Cheyenne Butler, we aspire to feed off of each others' knowledge and learn new techniques for taking portraits in hopes of preparing for the project.
How long: 20-35 Minutes The grizzly bear within the photos adapts to any logo whether it be for school or for work; adding a touch of a jovial and jolly attitude to any article of clothing, this design has continuously proven to be the reigning champion amongst other mundane school tee shirt designs.
Through using the techniques I learned in digital photography, I decided to venture out and practice my depth of field skills. Firstly, depth of field can be defined as the distance between the nearest and farthest objects that are captured sharply in the image. After finally finding the perfect range of distance to capture the photo--that being approximately 3 feet from the bushel, I decided to take the photo. By altering my aperture and ISO settings to 800, it served as the perfect settings to take the photo. The sunny clear blue skies served as a perfect background to capture the true texture of the bushel.
Faced with the challenge of creating a T-shirt design with little to no experience in graphic design, my trusted partner and I decided to work with what we do know: adobe photoshop. After searching for the perfect grizzly bear to represent our T-shirt design, we agreed on this intriguing blend of a grizzly bear with human eyes. In order to signify Mission Hills, Kyler and I found this logo to compliment the bear.
